Publishing Issues with WordPress 3.6.1

I am using WP Help version 1.2 with WordPress version 3.6.1

Yes, I am aware the plugin is rated for up to 3.5.2. But alas, I need this plugin.

On an older site (that has been updated to 3.6.1) I am receiving this error when I attempt to update or publish:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 120 seconds exceeded in /home/xxx/public_html/wp/wp-includes/post.php on line xxx (as it seems to change randomly… Weird, yeah, I know! I’ve gotten three various numbers so far: 408, 386 and 665)

The updates do go through! But the browser page does not refresh it simply displays the timeout error.

The issues changes on a new WordPress 3.6.1 site — fresh install. Where I get no messages at all, but rather a blank page.

Here’s the issue details: Every time I attempt to publish or update a WP Help Post it gets caught in some kind of loop. It does publish and update the posts, but the browser page I was using to update the information does not refresh properly. On the older site I get an error code listed above but with random seeming numbers while on the newer site I get a blank page. The browser page is useless and has to be closed. If I need to continue editing the page I have to reopen it. The pages I have created do get published and can be updated. The manager and the main publishing pages both display the pages and the information can be accessed from both of them. In short, it still works but there is some kind of hangup happening in the publish/update loop.

Still — this is an awesome plugin! Very useful for my clientele, let me tell ya! I am still using it, even if I have to jump through some annoying new loops. (It’s worth the effort for me as long as I can display the help my clients require.)

Still a fix would be marvelous! This is a rather annoying bug.
