Publishing from Word to WordPress with Footnotes

  • How do you publish files from Word 2007 to WordPress so that the footnotes remain intact? They often get ignored or they get published as if they were files on my computer (C:Users/etc..). I’ve tried everything, from saving it in html format to publishing it as a blogpost to pasting it into wordpress or windows live writer. The only thing that worked was the old version of Live writer but their update killed that too. I would’ve thought this would be a pretty simple thing to do. Any solutions? Thanks!

The only solution I’ve found is using a footnotes plugin and manually adding the footnotes. Copy/pasting from word into the Word window in WordPress’ edit screen won’t keep the footnotes – they have to be added manually.
