# Publishing bugs

 * Over the past 2 days I’ve had 2 strange & related bugs connected to publishing
   new posts. I’m using WP 2.0.3.
 * After I publish a post and then try to edit it by adding new text, I notice 2
   things happening. First, after adding new text & hitting “save & continue editing”
   I notice that the blog will display the newly added text. But when I look at 
   the post edit box I see that the text is truncated. In other words, the entire
   post is not displaying there. Rather, material towards the end of the post has
   disappeared.
 * If I click the Refresh button (using Firefox 1.0.5), then the entire post text
   will reappear in the post edit box; but the publishing status will switch from
   having the Published button highlighted to having the Private button highlighted.
 * When I highlight the Published button & click on Publish & Continue Editing, 
   then the text in the post edit box is truncated again.
 * It’s a vicious circle & I have no idea what is going on or why. Is any of this
   happening to anyone else? The only thing I can think of that I changed in my 
   installation in the past 2 days was installing the Bad Behavior upgrade.

 * This is actually a bug, either in Firefox or WordPress. I’ve noticed it myself—
   it only happens when there’s a particularly long piece of text in a textarea (
   those are the things that let you type long bits text on a webpage — if you write
   a reply, you’ll be using one).
 * There is a bug report for Firefox, but it could still be something wrong with
   wordpress, it might be a piece of javascript that’s malfunctioning. I’ve certainly
   only noticed it in wordpress 🙁

 * Would anyone know how to ask WP experts here whether it might indeed be a Wp 
   bug &, if it is, how to report it?
 * Maerk: Do you also have the bug behavior of the Publishing mode changing fr. 
   Published to Private? Or do you just have the problem w. the text getting lopped
   off?
 * And yes, you’re right. This is ocurring only w. long texts.
 * I’ve been using WP for a yr. & FF for several yrs. & never experienced the text
   bug before (but I have experienced the Publishing bug before using WP).
 * I’ll try to report this to the FF support forum & see if anyone else is getting
   this problem.
