Published date is event date

    Sorry, the problem is that the event date is shown where the publish date normally is shown in the frontend, under each title (twenty twelve theme).

    The above snippet should reverse that, but no effect in my site.

    Ah okay, I think you’ll actually need to remove that from the template.

    You’ll need to create a child theme, with just a single-event.php template (copy single.php) and then remove the date from the post meta section.
