Published and then not…

    I really hope you all can help! I am very new to all of this so any answers will have to be as basic and step-by-step as possible. I still dont know many of the terms or anything (at all) about writing code.
    So I started with a HostGator account but I couldn’t figure out how to NOT have it look like one of their crappy set-ups. So I did some personalizing but never published. Then I found WordPress (just using their theme, not their hosting), installed it, personalized it a bit, and realized, wait… i never published through HostGator. So I did. Now I’m getting 500 Internal Server Error, blah blah blah. I don’t even know where to start to fix this.
