    Hello.
I’m using the User Role Editor Plugin in WordPress 3.6.
I want that ‘Subscribers’ can publish posts of their work. But when I do that and tick the publish_posts box and try to login and post something with a test account it doesn’t work. It only works if I tick the edit_pages box aswell, but that I don’t want because they could delete work from others.
I essentially want that users can upload their work, but not edit, delete or do anything else with it.

    Thanks

    Hello,

Without ‘edit_posts” capability user can not add new post.
Why do not assign your users the “Author” role? With this role user may add, publish, edit, delete his own posts only. If you wish to use Subscriber instead, include to it the same capabilities list as you have in the “Author” role.

    Regards,
    Vladimir.
