# Publish button gone?

 * I just upgraded to 2.8.4. After successfully doing so and re-entering the backend,
   I can no longer save posts or pages. The sidebar that contains the “Publish” 
   and “Categories” tools are not appearing in either the page or post interfaces.
 * This has pretty much brought production to a halt, is there a fix for this?

 * I just did an automatic upgrade of WordPress (through Tools > Upgrade) and that
   fixed the issue. Previously, I used the WordPress Automatic Upgrade plugin.
