  • Did you do a manual publish or a scheduled one? I’m only curious as I just tried to do a manual publish here about 10 hours after you and none of my social media went out either nor did my email subscriptions to my subscribers. I think their server may be down? Have you tried again just to see? And if it was a manual publish, just curious to see who your hosting site is, not that I think that’s the issue. BTW, I’m not with Jetpack, I’m just another user having a similar issue.

    Scheduled.
    GoDaddy.
    So upset…

I use GoDaddy as well, but curious, are you new to using Jetpack for our site? The scheduled postings to the social media for GoDaddy have not been fully working for some time. I have had to manually publish since September because of this issue that deals specifically with GoDaddy’s managed wordpress setup.

    ALSO,

If you aren’t a new user to Jetpack, how long have you been successfully getting your social media to work in the publicize? (When was your last successful publish to the social media?) And, could you do me a favor and try manually publishing right now to see if that makes any difference. I am currently down right now even on the manually publishing, and I am leaning towards believing they have a server issue going on right now because I’m posting just fine on my site, but none of my email subscriptions are going on nor are my social media when I do so. And I’m assuming you don’t use email subscriptions?

@h0tpants I just did another test and am currently getting my social media on a manual publish to go out, but still not the email subscriptions. Maybe they are in the process of rebooting their servers? Could you let me know when you get a chance the answers to my questions in my last response to you? 🙂

    Thanks,
    Andrew

Update – My manual publish went through fine this morning. I just did it. So I’m assuming there was something going on in the Jetpack server side of things in the prior 24 hours. Try to do a manual publish and see if you are now getting your connections to work again. And also, please let me know, how long you’ve been on Jetpack and had the scheduling issue, as I’ve been working with Jetpack support to get this resolved and the social media part of it is the only one remaining that hasn’t been publishing when I schedule. They seem to think they have a fix though for that in their next release. So hopefully that’s true.

Regardless, I’m hoping Jetpack support will respond here or on my other posting I opened last night just to confirm if they had a server issue on their side because for the life of me I can’t see anything else that would have caused the temporary manual publish issue.

I will try manually publishing going forward. I’ve had jetpack forever. But really slowed down in blogging this last year, so I don’t even know how many posts went live without being pushed to my social accounts. I just noticed it on my last post on Friday.
I’ll update tomorrow if the manual post I’m going to share goes through.
    SO FRUSTRATING

My guess is that it hasn’t been working since September like me. It’s really GoDaddy’s Managed WordPress environment that makes it a problem. Yes, please do keep me posted as the manual should work. You might want to send an email to support@jetpack.com to let them know you too have not been getting your scheduled posts to go through. For now they have said it was just me reporting on it. But the manual publish should work all the time, hence why I was so frustrated last night when that didn’t even work.

Publicize has not been working correctly for all scheduled posts due to a Jetpack bug. The good news is that a fix will be included in the next version of Jetpack, 4.6, scheduled to be released in a couple of days.

That said, if you require an immediate fix for this bug, you can download and install the Jetpack Beta plugin to get the latest Jetpack build.

First, a word of warning: installing the latest build is not without risk. They are not as stable as regular releases and may contain other bugs. Please use caution if you decide to install and run the latest build.

If you decide to proceed, first grab the Jetpack Beta plugin from here:
    https://jetpack.com/beta/

Install the Beta plugin manually by following these instructions:
    https://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Manual_Plugin_Installation

Once it’s installed and activated, go to Jetpack > Jetpack Beta, select the “Bleeding Edge” option, and then save your changes. At the top of the screen you should now see a prompt to update; just click that to install the latest build. (If you don’t see prompt the first time, you may need to switch to “Tagged Beta Releases”, save, and then switch back to “Bleeding Edge.”)

    Thanks!

Publicize worked on today’s post when I posted manually.

I’ll wait for the update. Thanks.

It worked for me as well thank goodness. And hopefully the update will fix the long gestating scheduled blog issue. By the way, have you ever come across any other issues with GoDaddy and your site on Managed WordPress? I assume you are using Managed WordPress that is..

Yes, another issue is PHP errors on mobile. I had to have them change some code until go daddy releases a new update. But it was lip service, who knows when the update will happen….Been an issue for 4 months.
