 * To the Jetpack staff,
 * I schedule my posts to publicize at 12:01 am on a daily basis. I’ve been up and
   running with no issues for many months now. Tonight though, (10/10/2014 at 12:
   01 AM), my blog posted but the sharing did not work for FB, Twitter, or Googleplus
   and neither did my email subscriptions go out. The blog posting is titled Feeling
   Hurt? Recite “Love, Forgiveness, Peace”! About 10 minutes later, I created a
   new blog entry to just test to make sure the connections were up and that went
   out correctly. What’s even stranger is that I got a weird “Pingback” email from
   WordPress after my blog posted and I’ve never had something like that happen?
   Here’s a few lines from that email:
 * A new pingback on the post “Love, Forgiveness, Peace” is waiting for your approval

 * Is it possible that my title screwed things up because it had quotes, a question
   mark and an exclamation point? That seems hard to believe but I’m wondering if
   it’s possible?
 * I deleted this ping back, whatever it is and I manually had to add my blog posting
   on the sharing sites and thankfully my blog post test sent the link out correctly
   for everyone.
 * I called GoDaddy who hosts my managed wordpress and they said it wasn’t on their
   end and that it was a Jetpack issue going on. Do you have any idea what could
   have caused this with this posting?
 * Sincerely,
    Andrew

 * I checked our logs, and it seems that the post was marked as private on our end,
   and thus did not trigger Publicize or Subscriptions. I’m not sure how that happened.
   Did you happen to publish the post as “Private”, and then change its status to
   Public later?

 * That’s a core WordPress feature. You can read more about it here:

 * No, that shouldn’t cause any problems.

 * Jeremy, I never mark any of my scheduled blogs as private, but I checked just
   to make sure and it was definitely set as public. So I’m not sure how that could
   have happened. What are you theories?
 * ? As for the ping back… I made a reference to an earlier blog I wrote on my own
   site and I didn’t think that would trigger a ping back to myself? Is that the
   case?

 * I’ve been having the same problem for the past week.
    I also use godaddy.com.
   Publicize worked great, now it doesn’t. I’ve done the jetpack debug, no problems.
   My posts are public. I’ve done scheduled and live posts. They both do not publicize.
   I’ve cleared cookies from browser, logged out, logged back in. No solution.
 * I’ve also noticed that my posts on “wordpress.com” are not updated. I’ve clicked
   Jetpack-Settings-Debug-reindex posts with WordPress.
 * I know that Jetpack had a glitch a few months back with Godaddy. It seems it
   was on Jetpack’s side as it was fixed after about a week.

 * Well last night everything seemed to work fine on a brand new posting that was
   scheduled. So I’m not sure if your issue is something altogether different? Did
   you remove all the connections for sharing and then re-add them… as I had to
   do that once? But I post at 12:01 am each night and while it didn’t work the
   night before, it worked this past night at that time just fine thank goodness.
   Jeremy … any ideas for this user?

 * > I made a reference to an earlier blog I wrote on my own site and I didn’t think

 * That’s exactly it, yes.

 * I’m not exactly sure what happened. Maybe there was a glitch in your site’s connection
   to WordPress.com, and that caused the post to be ignored, much like a Private
   post would be ignored.
 * Let me know if it happens again!
