Publicize – Google Plus
-
I know this is a common issue, but I am not sure if anyone has found a solution for this yet. Basically, I make a post on my blog. I have Publicize enabled only for Google+. Google+ does get the post, but it doesn’t render it as a link (snippet), and rather, posts it simply as “Text”, that is hyperlinked.
I use SNAP for Twitter and Facebook and those render fine.
Here you can see an image of a post that is wrong: Here (Top Right post is not correct, bottom left is OK.)
Basically, is there a way to either:
A) Delay the post to Google+ incase this is a race condition/load issue? OR
B) Can we specify to Google+ that this is a link, rather than text?I’ve also attempted to resolve this by installing the ItemProp WP, which has improved, but not resolved the issue. (I also use Yoast’s SEO plugin).
One thing to note, is I can verify the metadata is there fine for the item (Using Google’s validator), and if I take the link and manually post it to the Plus page, it renders the snippet correctly.
Thanks,
Chris
