Hi there, I am trying to build a community based website that allows our readers to submit their own content to the site so I installed a plugin called Front-End Publishing and it does exactly what it says in the name. It allows users to make content without accessing the backend and therefore bypassing certain restrictions while also creating its own.

I have read your post: http://jetpack.me/2013/10/15/ever-accidentally-publicize-a-post-that-you-didnt/ and it worked exactly as you said it did… however it is still publishing posts to social media from front-end submissions. Because it is bypassing its usual hoops the code you gave in that link above does not apply to front end posts. Is there a separate code I can add to make that rule apply to posts from frontend submissions?

    Many thanks for your help.

I’m afraid you won’t be able to apply that rule to editors outside of wp-admin.

Whenever you use a third-party editor, whether in an app or via a plugin somewhere else on your site, the Publicize box isn’t added and the filter mentioned in the post you linked to isn’t used.

I can’t think of any work-around at the moment, as you’d have to make a lot of changes to the Front-End Publishing plugin to add that Publicize box there.

Sorry not to be able to help you more.

Hi Jeremy, thanks for getting back to me.

That’s completely fine. I expected as much anyway, I just wanted to try my options before moving moving to another option.

    Cheers!
