    I recently migrated to a Dedicated server and never had an issue on the shared hosting server before. Installed wordpress without an issue. Whenever I would go to mydomain dot ca it would load up my site without issues. Now when I go to mydomain dot ca it will show my entire root directory and not just my public_html directory, the main parent. If I set my siteurl to mydomain dot ca /public_html it works fine however I would rather not have to have my users type that domain name.

    Please help!

  • Might have to get your webhost provider to help configure the server. Most likely Apache (or whatever your webserver is) has the document root set to the root directory and not /public_html/ if that is what you want. Since it’s a dedicated server, you can make it whatever.

    If you make a info.php with:

    <?php
    phpinfo();
    ?>

    And execute that, you can check what the DOCUMENT_ROOT value is. This is more a server config issue and not really a WordPress one.
