# Public REST API example

 * So I’m curious as to how WordPress.com got their REST results this simple:

 * My current results look like this:

 * The “rendered” parts are causing me some issues in Android and I wanted to know
   what they did to simplify their results.

 * I don’t see much of a meaningful difference. Yours appears to have a bit more
   HTML markup in it, but that’s just because your content does. The posts in your
   WordPress.com example are just simpler, the API hasn’t ‘simplified’ them.

 * The public one doesn’t have the “rendered” parts in it and contains the featured
   image. Not sure how they achieved that.

 * Well it’s not the same API. As you can see from the URLs the WordPress.com is
   version 1.1 of their own API while yours is version 2 of the WordPress REST API.
