    Hello All,
I'm setting up a wordpress site, and I'm setting it up so that I can make use of google's (likely upcoming) Author Ranking system. My question is in regards to identity and anonymity. Google author (G+, even) doesn't want you setting up as "my site name", they want real/christian names. If I typically write under "john doe", and my inclination was to build my G+ and author rank 'account' around my pen-name. However, I'm fearing that google will know, and dislike/punish, using a pseudonym/anonymous handle. Is this concern valid? Do I really need to link my real, legal name to G+ / author rank in order to properly utilize it?

You need to ask this on Google's forums - it's not a WP question at all.
