Pseudonym and Realname? Private vs. Public?

  • I am using a pseudonym for my postings/website on WordPress. I was dismayed to now see that a search on Bing listed one of my posts as:
“http://dr-monsrs.net/author/REAL-NAMEcomcast-net”; to the best of my knowledge, my real name (required) is supposed to be for admin use only on WordPress. Furthermore, via Bing I also can display one of my future posts that is labelled PRIVATE. How can I prevent these 2 releases from happening?

  • Are you using a plugin to manage your pseudonym? Also, on your user profile on the WP admin panel, what is listed for “Nickname” and “Display name publicly as”?

That’s the normal behavior. The author link is in each article you post and should match (or approximate) your WordPress login id.

Have you considered using another ID to post?

I thank you both for the suggestions and info. For HYDRURGA: No I am not using a plugin to manage my pseudonym. Which one(s) do you recommend? Nickname and DisplayName are both given as the pseudonym. For JAN DEMBOWSKI: This seems hard to believe! Is there any way to list the pseudonym instead? Please also advise me about the Private versus Public post status question.
