Alright so I’ve searched far and wide and I appologize if it’s posted somewhere and it’s an easy answer, but I really just want to get to the bottom of this asap.

I’ve subscribed to a service that gives me PLENTY of highly functional themes, all of which are great, BUT, I am a designer and JUST created a website for a band (non wordpress) and the layout and graphics took me a very long time to make and really make the website stand out. I want to integrate this graphic into a word press theme because the social networking functionality, SEO, and general management system for WP is great, but I just want to use the graphics that I was paid to make and which really give the site a sexy look.

I guess what I’m confused about is the process for taking a an index.htm and style.css file that was generated by Photoshop CS5 (slices were exported as div id’s) and somehow implemenet wordpress to work as it normally does, around my layout. I am at work right now and can reply to this with a picture of the site if that’s easier when I get home so you can get a feel for the type of layout I’m trying to get working within wordpress but if anyone could shed light on this I would be very thankful.

I’ve researched custom themes and how many .php pages conditionally to generate the overall look of a page, but I’m just looking for a push in the right direction.
