Provide RSS feed for a particular category. (9 posts)

    Right I've hunted a few of the posts on the forum about this topic but I don't think I've found the right function to use here. I'm trying to provide a seperate RSS feed for one particular category only.

    This doesn't seem to be the right one, or it could be but I'm not actually sure:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/the_category_rss

    This tag keeps coming up in searches but again it seems to provide a list, I'm only interested in the feed, nothing else. Have it wrap around some text called rss feed (as as link as well) and that's it.

    Any ideas?

    That works...I just tried it and feeddemon grabbed it.

    I also made two test posts - 1 into 'chatter', one not.
    Only the correct post went into the feed.

    podz are we talking about the_category_rss function?

    I'm talking about being able to provide a url for someone to click, or for you to auto include as a full address.

    oh right sweet, no need for anything else eh, wow that's pretty damn cool. However does would Sage pick it up, hmm let me try that...

    That seems to have done it. Small minor question then, how can I provide a name for it so that it differs from the other feeds provided?

    Hmmm.... you could use a little image ?

    That sort of thing maybe ?
    I suppose the thing is not getting people to think it's a regular link ?

    nah that's not what I'm thinking, but yeah I'll use something eventually :) .

    When it pops up in the rss reader it just has the site name, I want it to say Broken Kode Snippets, rather than just Broken Kode.
