Protecting fields

Hi,

I thought i had already asked this question but i cant find it in the list.

I am constructing a football prediction form.

I am wanting to get it to line up nicely in the page

example

TEAM 1 – SCORE V TEAM2 SCORE – TEAM 2

The 2 score fileds are easy enough to style however i can get the team names which are just typed in texy to balance correctly on the page.

If the first team name in the the first row (match) is longer than the first tean name in the 2nd row then the vertical alignment is out of balance.

I got it to line up nicely by having a text field with a set size but then that field can be changed on the form by the user.

How can I either protect the team name field from being changed, or how can i make the width of each label the same width.
