    (@wpusrr)

Having first created a child theme manually in the file tree and using a code/text editor as per instructions from the codex and elsewhere, and having then attempted unsuccessfully to use ‘Customizer Export/Import’ tool plugin to transfer across to the child theme the many customisations such as randomised numerous header images….

…and having then tried to use a couple of online child theme generation services, with both of which the ‘Customizer Export/Import’ tool also failed….

…I am now attempting to use ‘Child Theme Configurator’ plugin to generate a child theme, after which I’ll again try to import the customisations into the child theme using ‘Customizer Export/Import’.

On analysing Hemingway using ‘Child Theme Configurator’ in search of potential problems with this, the plugin says that some have been found:

Notice: Undefined index: page in /home/customer/www/[MY-SITE]/public_html/wp-content/plugins/gallery-videos/index.php on line 56

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/customer/www/[MY-SITE]/public_html/wp-content/plugins/gallery-videos/index.php:56) in /home/customer/www/[MY-SITE]/public_html/wp-content/plugins/sg-cachepress/core/Supercacher/Supercacher_Helper.php on line 76

    PLEASE NOTE:

The analyzer reveals errors that may otherwise go undetected. Unless this is a fatal error, WordPress may appear to work correctly; however, PHP will continue to log the error until it is resolved. Please contact the author of any theme or plugin mentioned above and cut/paste the error from the text area.

Supercacher is the host’s built-in caching service.
Gallery is a video gallery plugin.

Please excuse my being a complete beginner with this, and for having no idea what those errors mean. Is there anything I should change or uninstall to make them go away?

    Hi @wpusrr,

The errors you’re getting are for the gallery-videos plugin, so I can’t speak to that. I’d recommend you to post on the support forum for the plugin and see if they can help.

Just at the moment I was editing the post I had made and checking the box labelled “resolved”, to let you know that I’d contacted the host and that the host had said that the errors were because of the plugin trying to do something mysterious to the headers- my internet crashed for about 5 hours, and the edits were lost. [3 tenses in one sentence. fun :)]
The intention was to leave the question there in case future people might have the same sort of error message and know what to do. Which in this case was to deactivate the Gallery Videa plugin (all the embedded vids still work fine) and retry. Success. Nothing to do with the host’s caching service, all to do with the plugin.

Thanks for “Hemingway”. It’s really splendid. We all love it.
