Proper format for WP URIs? (7 posts)

Okay, I've got WP 1.2 up and running (after a fashion), but I'm having trouble with the WordPress/Blog URIs on the Options tab.
WP is running in a subdirectory called 'blog'.
If I put in http://path-to-my-site/blog/index.php for the WP URI, the whole WP craters (no css style, and general ugliness). If I *don't* put the /index.php on the end, the page won't load unless I type it in on the address bar. Also, when I login, I get a directory listing of the wp-admin directory (I can click on the index.php and the admin pages comes up), and when I logoff, I go back to the directory listing.
    Any help/suggestions?

In your htaccess file make sure you have this.
    AddType application/x-httpd-php .html .htm .php
    DirectoryIndex index.html index.php
not sure if you only need one of those, but i think what is happening is your server is only set to recognize index.html and probly htm as the main file.

Yes, Mark was right, it's a server setting somewhere. What does your server run on (apache, etc)?

Yes, it is Apache - 1.3.31, mySQL4, PHP4, Win2K. Okay, I'm off to Google, then...

Maybe try copying your htaccess file into the blog folder? Really not very familier with how they work too much.

  7. DMerriman, change both your WordPress URI and Blog address to http://www.dmerriman.dyndns.org/blog
