[Promotion Slider] Adding it into header of Twenty Eleven theme

    Hi there. I am here completely new to WordPress. I’m not sure how to tweak the header of my current theme (Twenty Eleven) into Promotion Slider. Have tried to experiment on header.php but that just won’t work.

    Do not edit the Twenty Eleven theme. It is the default WordPress theme and having access to an unedited version of the theme is vital when dealing with a range of site issues. Create a child theme for your changes.

    Header.php is where you will want to add the code to display a slider in the place of the current header image. You would just need to swap out some code. Of course, if you aren’t familiar with PHP then this isn’t so trivial.
