Progress ads or skippable video ads

    hello, I would like to “lock content” and access there some pages specified with an interstitial ad using adsense or facebook ads. In other words, to access the content, the user will contribute to the site by watching a mandatory advertisement for a minimum time (example 30s) as happens in thousands of game apps where you need to watch an AD for 20-30s to receive a prize.
    I found only 1 plugin that promises this (example video https://imgur.com/a/DcTkTXh), however I prefer a more robust plugin with more features like Advanced Ads Pro. So I would like to know from the authors if this feature already exists in the PRO version or have plans to include it.

    Hi moisb,

    Thank you for your question.

    First of all, I would like to advise you not to use such implementations together with AdSense, because you will probably violate the ad placement policy and risk your AdSense account.

    We currently do not (yet) have a dedicated interstitial placement in our program. However, we already have such placement on our roadmap.

    However, you could create something similar using a popup placement without a close button, which closes by itself after a definable time, for example. There you could place not only image ads but also videos, for example.

    I would still advise you to test this type of advertising very carefully and test well how it affects the bounce rate of your visitors because I assume that many will find these interstitials as an imposition. But you should really test it in doubt and not rely on my intuition in this case 🙂
