BuddyPress 4.4.0 and Verified Member for BuddyPress 1.1.0 (bp-nouveau templates):

I have three xprofile field groups. «Base» (with username etc., what does show up on register page), «contact» (phone no. etc.) and «info».

If a user isn’t verified the two additional groups are not visible in the frontend for other users.

Is that intended behavior or did I miss something?

    Thanks,
    Hans

    Hi @schwarzaufweiss,

I have tested this with the Twenty Nineteen theme and unfortunately can’t reproduce the issue.

Can you please try to update BuddyPress to the latest version (5.0.0) and see if the issue persists ?

If it persists, this might be an issue with your theme, in which case we suggest that you try to reach for the theme authors as they will be better suited to help you.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi @themosaurus,
ok, Twenty Nineteen with legacy or bp-nouveau? What I wrote: I’m using the bp-nouveau templates based on GeneratePress, other words it’s BuddyPress itself and no theme issue.

But what I forgot to mention: I’m also using this plugin…
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-registration-options/
…could be that there is some kind of interdependence between the two plugins.

At the moment I will not update to BP 5.0.0 because of some open issues with that release.

If I’m able to find more I will let you know.

    Regards,
    Hans

    Hi @schwarzaufweiss,

We have tried with the bp-nouveau template pack and the Twenty Nineteen theme.

This plugin is using standard BuddyPress hooks to add the badge after user names, so I don’t see how this could affect the profile tabs.

I still believe this is most likely an issue within the theme, or with another plugin installed on your site.

I’d suggest that you contact your theme support as they might be able to help you better with this: https://generatepress.com/support/

If you want to find out yourself if this is a theme issue, you can try to switch to the Twenty Nineteen theme and see if the issue still happens for you. If it still happens, try to disable your plugins one by one until there’s no more issue, at that point you know that the last plugin you disabled is the culprit.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,
