 * Hello,
 * I’ve been using this plugin on a website for the last few years with no problems,
   but I have just been told that now when a user logs in using the [login_form]
   shortcode the ‘Profile’ button and link is missing so they cannot access the
   wp-admin backend to change their password, view their profile, and in the case
   of editors, do any work.
 * I have tested this on two websites now and the profile button to access the backend
   is missing in both cases.
 * Please advise.

 * Hi [@pa_esp](https://wordpress.org/support/users/pa_esp/),
 * This plugin does not have a profile link/button/editor. Are you referring to
   our Pro plugin? If so, please open a support ticket here: [https://restrictcontentpro.com/support/](https://restrictcontentpro.com/support/)

 * Yes, you must be correct. I’m sorry for my mistake.
 * Looking back at some old database backups I think I was using your plugin alongside
   a login widget plugin so members could log into the website on the front end
   to view restricted content, but on the login form (via the other plugin) it also
   allowed them to visit their profile to change their password, or in the case
   of an editor, to write posts, etc.
 * Sorry for the confusion. I have just updated the website and removed some old
   plugins that have been removed from the WordPress repository and I guess that
   the login form plugin was one of them. When I saw that Restrict Contact had a
   login facility via a shortcode I got confused.
 * I will rethink how to allow members to login, view restricted content AND view
   their profile.
 * You can consider this question resolved, and if necessary to avoid confusion,
   delete the question. Thank you for your quick answer. 10 out of 10 for the support
   you’ve given!
