Support » Plugin: WooCommerce » Products with different base currencies?

Is it possible to have different default currencies for different products? Some of my retailers quote in EUR while others quote in USD.

Ideally, I would like to input the different base currencies and have them automatically converted to the local currency of the user.

If the basic WooCommerce plugin does not do this, can you recommend me an extension that can do this?

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

The Currency Converter Widget for WooCommerce allows you to show a widget listing currencies that can be used by customers to dynamically switch the displayed currency prices.

Here’s a link to a post that includes a few other options as well: https://learnwoo.com/best-woocommerce-currency-converter-plugins/

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Amanda, thanks.

Can I just confirm before buying that your Currency Converter Widget allows me to input pricing in different base currencies?

Based on reading reviews online it seems like all prices have to be entered in a single base currency eg. USD. The plugin then allows conversion into other currencies.

However, my sellers quote me in different currencies like EUR. So can I enter the pricing for one product as USD and another product in EUR?

I understand that you can convert the EUR to USD (assuming USD base currency) first before entering but the point is the FX fluctuations may mean that 1 EUR does not convert back to 1 EUR all the time.

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

The Currency Converter Widget requires that all prices are entered with the same currency, so it sounds like it won’t actually work for your scenario.

I managed to find a plugin that may work for you though! Here’s the link:

Thank you Amanda, may I know if you are aware of any other such plugins?

Reason for asking is that the plugin does not appear to work at the moment (https://imgur.com/a/KTExrnF). I am asking for help on their support forums in the meantime.

    Thanks once again.

    Hi there

There are other plugins that appear to meet your needs as well. I was able to find another that allows for prices to be set in different currencies here: https://wpfactory.com/item/currency-per-product-for-woocommerce/

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
