Products not visible in shop / loop

    I have 16 products in my database of which only 13 are showing when I enable : hide out of stock products.

    I have experimented with:

    //update_post_meta( $product_id, ‘_stock’, 0 ); // stock count
    //update_post_meta( $product_id, ‘_stock_status’, ‘outofstock’ ); // stock status

    this worked fine… Then I reversed the process
    //update_post_meta( $product_id, ‘_stock’, 100 ); // stock count
    //update_post_meta( $product_id, ‘_stock_status’, ‘instock’ ); // stock status

    All items are back in stock and I have double checked the settings and all settings are Product visibility: Store and search results

    Resume:
    I have 16 instock items in my WooCommerce admin all are visible set in store and search results.
    Hide out of stock items checked only shows 13 products in my loop/loop…
    When I disable hide out of stock items I see 16 products in my shop/loop…

    All products that are not directly visible from the shop can be linked and viewed at page level and even purchased.

    When I duplicate the product that is not showing up this way… it becomes visible…

    So I guess there an out of stock area that I am missing?
    Does anyone know what I am missing here?

    Hi @vi54 –

    Thanks for reaching out. What a strange issue going on!

    I was thinking perhaps these missing products were variable products that you might have had marked as Out of Stock at a parent level or some scenario like that, but since you’re able to actually add the product to cart and purchase it…that’s what’s strange!

    Can you send us a screenshot of the product data box for the items that are missing? Also, would you mind copying and pasting your System Status Report into this thread so that we can check for any red flags there? You can find this by going to WooCommerce > Status > System Status > Get System Report in your WP-Admin dashboard.

    That could be very well indeed… I use a plugin to set some optional product items. Now that I think of that…

    The data box is all good. I can’t upload screenshots here. But I can asure that the data box is: published, public, current date, shop and search visible.

    Is there a hook or script to update ALL stocks? Regardless of what product type?

    Makes sense. I just wanted to make sure the stock settings were properly listed but since you were able to add to cart, I don’t suspect there’s an issue there.

    A thought…are the products showing up as in stock in the WordPress database?

    That could be very well indeed… I use a plugin to set some optional product items. Now that I think of that…

    I did see the Advanced Product Fields for WooCommerce plugin, and while I’m not 100% certain of what it does, I would recommend testing with this disabled just to rule it out.

    Outside of that, while you don’t have a lot of plugins installed, your theme does have quite a few template overrides. I would also recommend running a full conflict test to see if the problem still persists with just WooCommerce and a default theme active: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-self-service-guide/

Views
