First of all, thank you so much for this awesome plugin! It’s saved me so much time. Also, thank you for answering questions on this support forum!

I recently added the Etsy Importer plugin to my WordPress site, but the products from my Etsy account seem to change their status from Draft/Published in WordPress each day.

I haven’t changed anything in my Etsy account, and I haven’t changed anything in WordPress. I also checked my Etsy account an all our products are “Active”.

I currently have this checkbox http://grab.by/I3KM unchecked since I figured if my products were active in Esty, they would be automatically set to “published”.

    Thanks for your help

One aspect of the plugin is a cron job that checks for new stuff on a schedule, which is likely the culprit in the long run. However, if you’re not changing anything on either side for availability/active status, then it’s a bit odd. I sadly don’t have an answer for why it would be occurring either, not without trying to really dig in and dissect everything. First time I can recall hearing about such an issue.

    Thanks for your response Michael.

I’m trying to troubleshoot this issue still and I’m trying to narrow down the possibilities. Do you know if it would have anything to do with my hosting? Or would it have anything to do with how I have my archive templates set up?

The other thing I notices is when I save the Etsy Importer settings, it goes to a blank browser screen instead of staying in the admin. Could it be that I need to reinstall the plugin?

Hosting can have an effect on some aspects, like timeout settings for processing new products coming in, but the hosting would not have an effect on changing product status. Templates wouldn’t have an affect on that either.

The issue is going to be during the processing of new data.

The blank browser screen is suspect, but reinstalling the plugin isn’t going to solve that. I recommend enabling WP_DEBUG and see if anything appears on the screen after that, that’ll give you better information for what’s going on. https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress

Do be careful with that though, as the frontend would start showing any debugging errors/messages as well, which is not a good thing if you’re on a live site with active visitors.

I tried using WP_DEBUG but the blank screen still comes up with no php errors. I viewed the page source and there wasn’t any html at all (no html or body tag). Just a blank page.

Any other suggestions for things to try off the top of your head?

Not really other than checking error logs through your hosting at this point.
