Hi i want to noindex the products archive page “http://example.com/shop”

Is this possible? i am finding the page being indexed by Google.

Also, i tried removing the page and rebuilding it with woocommerce>tools and it created a new store page with “http://example.com/winkel” (winkel tranaslates to shop in dutch)

So now even though i deleted the former homepage i now have 2 working links for the products archive. “http://example.com/shop” and “http://example.com/winkel”

I sit possible to delete the product archive pages or set them to noindex. The because the are duplicates from the homepage. And not good for SEO in the Google index.

I removed it from the google index once but it just comes back

Thanks for posting this – I had the placeholder shop page marked as noindex in Yoast SEO, but it’s the product archive that Google indexes.

What would I need to change in the function above if I want to do the same thing but the page is NOT the front page?

The above snippet does just that. It adds the meta tag if it is not the front page.
