I’m having an issue with the way my products and subcategories are showing up in the shop page. Each of my products has at least two categories (the brand [my subcategory] and the type of product [my product]). I want the brand to show up as the category listed below my product on the front page, however if I select multiple categories to apply to that product (i.e., the brand and type of product), WooCommerce seems to place the category in alphabetical order… so if my brand starts with a J and the product type starts with an A, the product type will show up instead of the brand. This doesn’t occur if the product starts with a letter that’s alphabetically after the brand (in this case, S, for example).
In the WooCommerce catalog options, I’ve defined the Default Category Display as “Show subcategories,” and I’ve defined each category itself as either a “product” or “subcategory,” with the brand being the “subcategory” and the type of product being the “produce.” BUT… I’m still having the issue.
I’m not a web developer, so I seem to be out of options here. Advice on how to solve this would be very helpful.
