If I do a search for my most recent blog post (first new one since WordPress upgrade)Iget this goofy thing in my webpage description. Can you tell me why Yoast is choosing to display this, or how I can remove it because I really don’t want it in my description

  • Hi,

We looked at the page and that does not appear to be coming from Yoast. Yoast is outputting all the data as expected. See image: https://pasteboard.co/HWzS0Oe.png.

We are not sure why Google is showing that. We can only suggest two actions:

    1. Can you confirm if you use Fetch as Googlebot that the issue is resolved? This will force Google to update the index. You may need to use it several times. This guide explains more: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/fetch-as-googlebot/.

    2. We suggest contacting Google for more information as Yoast is outputting the data correctly. You may contact Google by making a post on their forums: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/webmasters.
