Same for our site, this new plugin is critical.
Since all our income is running through the old plugin we don’t want to switch to new plugin before it’s tested and ready for use in production.

As they have not been very active here I’ll update everyone here.
After being in contact with their support, they told me that this plugin will not be production ready before their API change deadline (30 of June).
They are suggesting everyone to roll their own implementation.
I spoke to the development team and they said that the Beta version has been tested in production for a while. Got the impression that it’s relatively safe to use the Beta version.
Does not support subscription yet.
Sorry for the late reply, but we have received no notifications of the activity, otherwise we would of course have replied much earlier.
We have clarified our disclaimer now to underscore that it is unsupported, not that the technical quality is necessarily bad. As mentioned by @exerto, the plugin is used in production by several customers.
I would not say rolling your own implementation is necessarily better than to base your integration on an existing implementation, as you will only have more work to do and you would be left in the same place regarding support either way.
So please feel free to use the plugin and if you have questions or ideas for improvement, you are welcome to submit them on GitHub.
