• Hi,

I have a store that I have clothing/footwear for adults and children and the sizes available depend on which is selected. I have looked extensively at product attributes/variations and I can see you can add an attribute and then you can click on ‘Configure Terms’ to add terms to an attribute.

I have created an attribute called ‘Size’ and I have added two terms to this attribute – Adult and Junior. I have then added further terms representing the sizes available under each attribute and made the parent the respective attribute. This ends up with the following:

    Adult
    -Small
    -Medium
    -Large
    -X-Large
    Junior
    -Age 6
    -Age 8
    -Age 10
    -Age 12

The problem I have is that when on the single product page I was hoping that I could select Adult and only the sizes relating to the Adult would appear in the Size field. Equally the same when selecting the Junior size.

I have tried everything to make this work and the only way I can do this which is quite unwieldy is to prefix each size with Adult or Child and then add them all as variations to the product allowing the visitor to select one of them from a single list box.

There must be a way to do this and any pointers would be very useful – perhaps a dependant list box that changes based on the previous selection would be ideal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Alan.

If you’ve added two attributes, both attributes will be available for selection on your page so thats not going to work.

You’d have to prefix unfortunately. Although thats pretty common online anyway?
