Support » Plugin: Dynamic Pricing With Discount Rules for WooCommerce » Product variation discounts not applied correctly

    Hi team,

I’ve just started using your plugin, great job by the way 🙂
However I’ve encountered an issue with product variations…

Let’s say that the product has 2 variations.
I’ve set up a $1 discount if customer buys 2-4 pieces AND $2 discount if customer buys 5-9 pieces.

If the customer adds to cart 2x pieces from variation 1 AND 3x pieces from variation 2, the plugin will apply $1 discount, instead of $2 as it should (there are 5 pieces in the cart).

Please help me out with this, maybe I don’t know how to set it up.

Can you please switch the Quantity Based Discount Type to ‘Discount on cart quantity’, since each variation in the cart will be considered as a separate item, ‘Discount on individual product quantity’ might not work. We will try to add an extra option for variation count (on our future update).

    Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately the ‘Discount on cart quantity’ option doesn’t work properly.

For example if the discount per piece is $2 when you have 5 pieces in your cart, the total discount applied by the plugin is $2 and it should be 5x$2=$10.

Please consider adding an update related to this issue.

Our team is checking the same, will get back to you with the updates very soon.

Actually the pricing table display (quantity) is little-bit confusing, the quantity here refers to the total cart quantity and the discount will be applied to the cart total.

Can you please share a screenshot of your admin pricing rule screen, by default if we are using ‘Discount on cart quantity’ – Fixed discount (https://imgur.com/a/NLp3S0d), the discount table will show the ‘$$$ will be deducted from cart’ instead of ‘$$ Off’ (https://imgur.com/a/wHtlbjk).

We will be releasing an update with the fix (pricing table view) asap.

I don’t understand why your version looks different. I made the same settings. Please take a look: https://prnt.sc/reti2r

Have you checked the same on demo.

Yes I have, the settings are the same. There’s probably some conflict with other plugins.

Anyway, it would be great if variations could work with the ‘Discount on individual product quantity’ option. It would be much appreciated if you could add this to your next update.

Do you have caching plugins enabled on your website, if yes please clear your cache before testing the same, also please clear your browser cache.

Regarding enable variations for ‘Discount on individual product quantity’ option, we will consider the same on our future updates.

    Thanks.
