Product types?
-
Hi!
Just wondering if this only works with simple products so far?
-
Hi clothncraft,
The plugin supports simple products and variations. Variable products are separated into their variations so they can be added to the cart with one click (or tap).
If you check out the demo at http://woopos.com.au/ and go to the 4 or 5th page you will notice the variation information is shown under the product title.
I hope that helps. Let me know if you have a use-case which requires a different display.
Kind regards,
PaulOk ’cause I’m not seeing any products on my POS page – even when I’ve got heaps listed – I’ve got some Addons on some of the products – would that be confusing it?
Also with the latest update I got a “Error getting update count from the server” error (or something like that – can’t quite remember…)
any ideas?
Hi clothncraft, sounds like there is a problem connecting to the server.
Is it possible you could set me up with a temporary account so I can look into it? It should only take a moment to spot the problem, then I can give you a quicker answer than going back and forth in the forum.
Let me know by email: support@woopos.com.au
Kind Regards,
PaulActually, I just answered a similar question on GitHub: https://github.com/kilbot/WooCommerce-POS/issues/4
Are you using http://localhost ?
Hi!
A quick question – I have it installed on a subsite within multisite – is it supposed to work in that situation or only on a main site/single site install?
I haven’t tested on multisite yet, I don’t think it will work at the moment.
It shouldn’t be too hard to fix, I’ll take a look and include multisite support in the next update.
Hi clothncraft,
I have just updated the development version to include support for multisite. To try the new version you will have to:
1. deactivate WooCommerce POS
2. delete WooCommerce POS and all files
3. download the dev version: http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/woocommerce-pos.zip
4. upload the plugin and reactivateThe update will also be available in the next release (later this week).
You can see WooCommerce POS on multisite in action here:
http://demo.woopos.com.au/pos/
http://nl.woopos.com.au/pos/
http://es.woopos.com.au/pos/These are all in the same network using WooCommerce POS.
Fantastic! trying it now…
OW! It still doesn’t work. Do you know of any plugins this conflicts with?
Hi Clothncraft,
Can you send me an email at support@woopos.com.au .. if possible can you send me a url and/or login details so I can take a look. It’s really hard to troubleshoot through the forum but I’m sure it’s only a small problem once I look at it.
Kind Regards,
PaulHi Clothncraft,
I just updated the development version to work with subfolder installs of WordPress .. so if your multisite is also in a subfolder, perhaps the latest version will work?
Works! That’s great! Thanks!
Looking forward to trialling your latest additions when you’ve got them working.
Would you consider an option of adding a NEW customer too? I know you’re looking at “Assign order to existing customer” but it would be cool if you could add a new custumer too.
Here’s another idea/option – to have the option of adding shipping – I know it’s supposed to be a POS system – but I’m also envisaging using it as an easy way to enter orders I’ve received from peeps on facebook too.
ooo here’s a thought – have you thought of hooking in your “print” option with plugins like “WooCommerce Print Invoice & Delivery Note” – ie your “Print” function could simply call the same function in that (or similar plugin) thus people’s invoices look the same no matter how the sale was completed – online or in person.
Great! I’m glad you got it working. I’ve also added your suggestions to the “future release” roadmap: http://woopos.com.au/roadmap/future-release/ .. stay tuned!
I’m going to mark this as resolved. Let me know if you have any other problems.
Hey one thing I’ve noticed – this seems to work on a computer but not a mobile device. Is it possible to make it work on a mobile device also?
