Support » Plugin: WooCommerce » Product search results

  • Recently, I’ve noticed that the product search is behaving rather peculiarly. For example, if I was to search for the word ‘black’, instead of listing any matches for the word, it simply jumps to the product page of the first product on our website (alphabetically by SKU) which contains that particular word.

I have searched online for a plugin which would assist me in customising the search results page, but to no avail. My question to you therefore is – is it possible to customise the search results so that when people search for products the results are listed in the same style as you would find the product list under a product category?

If this is possible, please can someone shed some light on which lines of code do I need to add to my search.php file? Currently, if I use the standard WordPress search box, the results are listed in this fashion, but unfortunately, it uses the full size image and doesn’t include a price or description.

I trust this makes sense, and look forward to hearing any replies…
