Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with your feed review for. I have uploaded your review feed URL into our merchant center to see what exactly Google reports on but Google accepts the feed fine without any errors at all.
We didn’t make any change to this part of our plugin foe months so I suspect something changed in the content of your review(s) that is triggering the “Unnecessary tags” notification. Does that ring a bell maybe?

So perhaps you could check the content of your feed to see if it contains those strange characters?

As of right now there are no special characters in the contents of the reviews other than apostrophes. When I upload the new feed it says all 56 are counted and 0 items with issues but when I view the graph it says 0 are ready to serve.
Should I remove all apostrophes?

Anyhow I am pretty sure the feed itself is fine so perhaps you could reach out to Google’s support asking them if they could be a bit more specific as to what they think are the “Unnecessary tags” ?

Is there a way to remove or replace those with filters in this plugin? Or will I need to edit the products?

Yes there is, see for example this one:

Make sure you put a space in the the is field so the character is replaced with a white space.

Is there a way to filter the “title”? I’m not seeing it at the moment but we have the registered icon in our product titles that I need to filter out.

Thanks for the screenshots. It wasn’t clear you were referring to a Google Product Review feed, we thought you were talking about a Google Shopping feed.
You were correct that rules on product review title’s did not work, that was never we supported. However we have just pushed out a new release of the plugin for you, version 7.7.1, that should support it.
So, could you update to version 7.7.1 and give it a try?
