  • Hi Tom,

Is it possible that you have the Pretty permalinks setting set to “Yes”? If so, could you try setting it back to “No”? It might be due to the characters handling that we cannot access the proper product pages.

Let us know if it works out after this.

    That worked 🙂
Is there anyway to fix the permalinks issue? This function is good for seo purposes.

    Hi Tom,

We would suggest you changing the slugs of the products so that they contain alphanumeric characters instead of special characters.

WordPress automatically makes the URL “safe”, so that it will work for everyone. This is why the pretty permalinks did not work properly. The characters were converted.

There are other workarounds but this might be the simplest one.

Another user have written rewrite rules in the htaccess. However, we have not tested it ourselves. Perhaps this might be good documentation for you: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/keeping-special-characters-in-migrated-permalinks-without-causing-a-404?replies=3

    Best regards,
