product in shop page is way too small.
i’ve set the size in both virtue theme shop settings, and woocommerce product settings. i have checked both crop and then uncrop, i have regenerated thumbnails over and over again. nothing changes the size of this product.
http://www.artmutts.com – go to gallery (shop) to see how small this is.
is there a css code i have to use? i really would like to get on with this site and appreciate any help.

i now have two images in the gallery – I suppose I have two options here:

option 1 – all images the same size, uniform, cropped.
option 2 – all images different sizes but full photo is shown.

while either one will do, i need to figure out:

option 1 – what settings am i supposed to pick. i’ve changed the theme settings shop page and the product settings page to 450 x 450 which is the size i want the product images to be, however, it doesnt seem to change.

option 2 – is there a css setting that will allow me the different sizes but will line them up like a portfolio grid layout? i think if i keep going I’ll have alot of wasted space inbetween photos.

I’m stuck and almost at the end of set up but need to get this figured out.
    Thanks.

    First turn off jetpack photon!

    1. If you have the theme settings enabled the it will crop your images square.

    2. If you using woocommerce settings then make sure the theme crop is off. Then set your Catalog Images size in woocommerce settings.

    thank you again!

question: my end goal is to create a gallery of all artists photos with prices, info, etc. similar to the products page. I also wanted to create a profile for the artists with each page showcasing just their art. Right now I have a separate slide show added in each profile which seems redundant. What would be another way to set this up?

I’ve tried using the portfolio and reading the info but it seems it’s geared to just one person’s portfolio.

Why not just use a wordpress gallery to show there work?

well the wordpress gallery in the theme is basic and it doesnt come with the category option which I would like to have on the sidebar so users can find art more specifically. the portfolio and woocommerce product pages both have the category type options which makes it easier to create menus on the sidebar. i would have to opt for a gallery type plugin to get more effects and i’m trying to limit plugins. any other suggestions?

Now I’m confused, if your using the shop I though you just wanted a way to show work on a profile page.
Why are you not using woocommerce to show your products and organize them in categories?

im confused as well.lol. I have created two sample galleries on the site. I prefer the look of the portfolio style the theme offers – it just looks nicer for a gallery of art, however, it appears that it is way more feesible to use the woocommerce option because of the searching categories option. I will just have to try to make the woocommerce option look more attractive for art and perhaps use the portfolio option for artist profiles. The portfolio option would be awesome if it was set up in a manner that you could sell photos/art from it.

    Question:
In woocommerce, is it possible to have a product with additonal photos of the same artist? i know you can put “you might also like this” option – but i don’t know about attaching all the art that person does to that one product page. i guess if someone wants to shop only from one particular artist, they can search art by “whomever” to get there.

    Appreciate your help.

You can make categories for each artist. As for adding more images to a product you can add as many as you like in the product gallery but it will be for that one product.

Hi kamleshpawar2006, it looks like you’re using a different theme? This forum is for Virtue theme only so I wouldn’t really know how to help you. Sorry!
