Product images not showing on Iphones/Safari

    When browsing the products (woocommerce) on safari on an iphone or ipad the product images dont show unless you tap and hold for a while.

    It doenst do this on the desktop version, andriods or even iphones/ipads using chrome

    how do i resolve this as i cant be the only one this is affecting?

    yeah its still happening on ios and safari. its when there is a product category list and sometimes on the products themselves. Sometimes if you press and hold where the image should be, they appear. I have tried using smaller images, jpegs instead of png. Also i have used WP Smush but still not working.

    Hi Simon,
    I would suggest deactivating your plugins to test if any are conflicting. Let me know if there’s no change.

    I have deactivated all plugins, updated woo commerce and some of the widgets i am using. changed php to 7 and still happening on ios devices.. i cant be the only one that this is happening to! it literally is the virtue theme and woocommerce, nothing complicated 🙂 but people cant see our products on ios devices/safari

    I’ve tried clearing cache, rebooting phone. It happens on an iPad, an iPhone 5s and an iPhone 8.

    The photos appear for a split second, and then disappear. To make them show again, you have to press and hold on them a couple of times and they then all appear

    Hey,
    I just tested on 4 different devices without getting the same result. Would you mind telling me which version of IOS you are using? I’ll run more tests on devices using that exact version to see if I can recreate on your site.

    also can you tell me if you are using any apps for “ad blocker” or web firewall on your ios devices?

    Hi all using latest ios but have seen devices that are on older doing the same.

    It is still happening but only on the pages that are the woo commerce products. If I just have a site origin image they appear fine but the addresses below for example all have the same issue and they are lists of the product categories.

    In your theme options > advanced settings try adding this css ^

    I still can not recreate but so this is only a guess but let me know if you still have an issue once the above css is added and your cache is cleared.
