# Product field type – quantity

 * I need to access inline quantity value in Product Field Type for each listed 
   product and display it in notification email.
 * I did find this old thread [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/product-field-quantity-not-showing-in-mail](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/product-field-quantity-not-showing-in-mail),
   but there is no actual solution other than that the developer saying it is not
   supported without providing any explanation of why it isn’t or ETA to add this
   functionality.
 * I know how to create a workaround, but that is not the point. How hard can it
   actually be to provide a merge tag for inline product quantity value? Why should
   I be forced to add a separate quantity field that displays product price, that
   unlike the label, cannot be fully hidden in form, just to be able to display 
   quantity of each product in mail notification?
 * Can you at least make it possible to hide Product Price from the form if internal
   quantity is not being used? I can hide it in CSS, but I don’t want this rendered
   at all if I’m using a separate field for quantity.
 * Explanation or ETA for adding this functionality would be appreciated.
