    Hi,

    We just noticed that the product feed has created duplicate items with the same IDs, and as a result almost 50% of our products are being rejected from the FB catalog.

    We have attempted clearing the cache (although it should not be affected by that, since the feeds’ URLs are explicitly excluded from the cache), and also regenerated the product feed, but nothing has helped any. Would you kindly advise what we should try next?

    It’s really strange, since at one moment the feed was working fine, and the next behaved as described. We did not change any of the feed’s settings in the meantime.

    Thanks!

  • Hi,

    Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us.

    Would you be so kind as to share the plugin debug.log URL with us so we can have a closer look as to how you configured your product feed? Instructions om how to retrieve the debug.log URL can be found here: https://adtribes.io/send-your-debug-log-to-support/

    Hi,

    Thanks for the prompt reply. Unfortunately the link you shared yields a Service Unavailable error. However, in the meantime I managed to troubleshoot this and address it on my own. I navigated to the feed file path in the cPanel, and renamed the affected product feed. I then regenerated the file from the Manage Feeds page, and all is well again after that. Please let me know if you would like me to forward you the debug.log anyway for your troubleshooting.

    Thanks!

    Update: Alright, the page loaded, so I generated and forwarded you the file via an email at your support.

    Thanks again! 🙂

    Thanks for sending over the debug.log. We had a look and indeed it showed you had a lot more products in your feed then normally (which also shows is fixed now), see:

    [11 Dec 2021 12:45] => 674

    [23 Dec 2021 13:16] => 1085
    [23 Dec 2021 13:48] => 721

    This usually happens when the plugin got stuck processing the product feed. This can happen when it runs into a server configuration limitation such as a maximum execution time or a maximum allowed CPU/memory usage limitation. You should be able to find proof of this in your WooCommerce fatal error logs of today.

    When the logs indeed show those errors you can either increase the server configurations or you can try lowering the batch size of the plugin so it uses less server resources, see: https://adtribes.io/batch-size-configuration-product-feed/

    Hope this helps?

    Hey, thanks for the follow up. Especially thank you for the batch-related insight. I reduced that to 250 from the default 750. I hope it will make a difference in resources use.

    Thanks again, and happy holidays!
