Hi Marc,
Well not at the moment. The next update will support WPML as a language plugin, but as far as I can see that differs from Polylang.
I will have a look at this plugin to see if we could support that on a not to long therm.
Expect a response from me before the end of next week.
Best Regards,
Michel
Hi Michel
Thanks for your prompt answer. Maybe some thoughts might help to analyse.
1) I use an Woocommerce Polylang integration plugin, similar how WPML also uses: this mainly ensures product ID, variations and stock quantity are taken from the main language product page (German).
https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/woo-poly-integration/
2)I think google expects that the product ID must differ for both languages. The mentioned integration plugin does not allow that.
If you need login to my page and if I can help pls contact me on marc@eflizzer.ch.
Kindest regards,
Marc
Thanks for the additional info.
When the product ID for each language is different it will probably not be so hard for me to make a plugin that adds Polylang to our plugin, because that is the way WMLP is also working. Only thing was that the prices where stored different, so I need to look into how the prices are stored in Polylang.
But I do need some time to investigate and I’m currently working on the next release. I will start looking at it end of next week.
Hi Michel
Thanks. I checked. With the mentioned integration plugin I can configure any data that can be synced. So for example I can switch off ID/ SKU syncing and with this create single IDs for each language. This is also expected by Google I think.
So lets hope its an easy thing to do.
Hi Michel
Any update on this issue?
Kind regards,
Marc
Hello Marc,
No unfortunately not yet. We just released the update and are still testing out the WPML addition. We had some issues with it so I haven’t been able to work on the Polylang update. It is on our list, but I first want the WPML addition to work correctly.
Best regards,
Michel
