I installed WordPress 5 yesterday. Today I am trying to edit a product and I need to change this from a simple product to a variable one, however the drop down box in Product Data is not there. I have tried to create a new product however the drop down is still not there. Can anyone help?

if you are using WooCommerce plugin for products, create a new topic for your question in the WooCommerce support area to get advice from the plugin specific community

Did you do any test to find out if your theme and plugins all work with this new MAJOR version of WordPress before upgrading?

I’m seeing a lot of people report issues that boil down to the JQUERY changes in 5.5. And I’m amazed at how many people simply click the UPDATE button without any testing at all!

I updated the Woocommerce plug in and it fixed the issue. Thank you.
