Product count per slide not working
-
Hi! By default your slider shows 3 products per slide. I want it to show 4 products. Which setting should I use?
- Display number of products at time:
slide_to_show=”2″ (Display no of products in a slider ) - Number of products slides at a time:
slide_to_scroll=”2″ (Controls number of products rotate at a time)
Both of the above does not seem to work. When I apply slide to show shortcode the slider is not active at all, I just get products stacked 1 product per row.
When I use slide to scroll = 4, I can seee a slide with 3 product but arrows not working.
- Display number of products at time:

It should work, but if its not working you have provide some more details… perhaps you can place the slider in a demo page and provide the link for me to check.
Thanks for your answer. Would you be able to login to an actual site I’m working on? Where should I contact you to provide login link?
Alternatively I can set the site out of maintenance mode temporarily but maybe seeing the inside would be more beneficial
Thanks
Please do contact through my website contact me form…
Ok, I’ve passed more details via form. Thanks
Where should I contact you to provide login link?
*Reads. Sighs.*
@tiknius Please revoke any access you may have granted @sajjad67 as they need to confirm that are not going to log into your site as they may be banned if they don’t and lose their plugin here.
Yes, it is that serious. @sajjad67 Please reply that you will not log into a forum user’s site.
@tiknius Had the developer asked for that, and to be clear they did not ask for that, this would be the reply to them.
While I know you have the best of intentions, it’s forum policy that you not ask users for admin or server access. Users on the forums aren’t your customers, they’re your open source collaborators, and requesting that kind of access can put you and them at high risk.
If they are paying customers (such as people who bought a premium service/product from you) then by all means, direct them to your official customer support system. But in all other cases, you need to help them here on the forums.
Thankfully are other ways to get information you need:
- Ask the user to install the Health Check plugin and get the data that way.
- Ask for a link to the http://pastebin.com/ or https://gist.github.com log of the user’s web server error log.
- Ask the user to create and post a link to their
phpinfo();
output. - Walk the user through enabling WP_DEBUG and how to log that output to a file and how to share that file.
- Walk the user through basic troubleshooting steps such and disabling all other plugins, clear their cache and cookies and try again (the Health Check plugin can do this without impacting any site vistors).
- Ask the user for the step-by-step directions on how they can reproduce the problem.
You get the idea.
We know volunteer support is not easy, and this guideline can feel needlessly restrictive. It’s actually there to protect you as much as end users. Should their site be hacked or have any issues after you accessed it, you could be held legally liable for damages. In addition, it’s difficult for end users to know the difference between helpful developers and people with malicious intentions. Because of that, we rely on plugin developers and long-standing volunteers (like you) to help us and uphold this particular guideline.
When you help users here and in public, you also help the next person with the same problem. They’ll be able to read the debugging and solution and educate themselves. That’s how we get the next generation of developers.
@jdembowski i have asked for the website link to see the page where he placed the shortcode, not login information of admin of his site!
Sajjad Hossain Sagor is correct. He didn’t ask for login info here or elsewhere.
@tiknius can you place the shortcode on a page and provide me the page link here which is publicly available to check.
it’s here on homepage UUTISET block
the shortcode currently used is [woopspro_products_slider slide_to_scroll=”4″]
If I use shortcode [woopspro_products_slider] the slider works but shows 3 products only, I would like it to show 4
i have asked for the website link to see the page where he placed the shortcode, not login information of admin of his site!
Yes. I know. Which is why I wrote this.
Had the developer asked for that, and to be clear they did not ask for that, this would be the reply to them.
I needed to convey the seriousness of this, is all. I know you did not ask for that and I said so.
@sajjad67 please let me know when you finished reviewing. I will have to put the website back to maintenance mode
Thanks
Please use…
- Display number of products at time:
slide_to_show=”4″ (Display no of products in a slider ) - Number of products slides at a time:
slide_to_scroll=”4″ (Controls number of products rotate at a time)
and check again if it works!! we have today published a new version of of the plugin which includes support for changing slides number for mobile/iPad/laptops/desktop devices.
@sajjad67 I don’t understand this is what I’m using:
- Display number of products at time:
slide_to_show=”4″ (Display no of products in a slider ) - Number of products slides at a time:
slide_to_scroll=”4″ (Controls number of products rotate at a time)
This is what you’re sugesting:
- Display number of products at time:
slide_to_show=”4″ (Display no of products in a slider ) - Number of products slides at a time:
slide_to_scroll=”4″ (Controls number of products rotate at a time)
It’s the same and this is not working. I mean in my first example I pasted 2 but I’m actually using number 4 as sugested in the same post:
“When I use slide to scroll = 4, I can seee a slide with 3 product but arrows not working.”
