Hi, I’m using woocommerce plugin to build online fashion shop, I want to create main menu by product category and then the submenu, but I’m not sure about how the submenu should be created, should I create it based on category again or attribute or tags?
I want create something to be like this : Main Menu : Man, Woman. Submenu : Man -> Bag, shoes, etc, Woman -> Bag, shoes, etc

I try to avoid redundant category but it’s gets stuck, please help
    Thanks

  • In general, “menu” is based on Category hierarchy.
Tags and Attributes can be used as Widgets, in the sidebar or in the footer.

There was a blog post in Woo’s website:
    http://www.woothemes.com/2013/11/wordpress-tags/

It is about using the tags, but can be useful for you if you are in a conflict about the usage of categories/tags.

Btw, you can customize your “Shop” menu items from the WordPress admin panel, Menu settings. There is a box where you can select “Product Categories” and you can design that Categories menu nested, with sub-categories as well.

    Thanks!
