• For the ‘Product slug with primary category’ option under Products, is there a way of using the direct parent category of a product, rather than the grand-parent category?

I have child categories that inherit the parent category slug, with an additional phrase to define the child:

    Parent: art-music
    Child: art-music-painting

Yet when I select the category path, it’s the parent that shows in the URL:

    domain.com/art-music/name-of-painting

    Rather than:

    domain.com/art-music-painting/name-of-painting

The later of which is more concise and descriptive for SEO – so why does it default to a parent category – missing out an important ‘filter’ of child category?

Naturally I want to avoid the full category hierarchy path as:

    domain.com/art-music-/art-music-painting/name-of-painting

    is somewhat repetitive…

    Any suggestions would be appreciated!
