    Hi David,

I’m doing research on developing a stock-photo site. There are several solutions “out there” but due to the features (tax rates for different countries, payment gateways for The Netherlands and Europe) I have decided that Woocommerce is the way to go.

To develop a outstanding stock-photo site it is very important that the customer can search the products (photos). I see that image editing software (Photoshop, Lightroom, iPhoto etc) has the ability to enter exif keywords (search terms) to their photos. And here comes MLA in. What a great plug-in. I mapped several fields to the keywords and it works very well for the most. (Categories, Tags, Product Categories and Product Tags)

The problem is (I’m working with a Dutch version of WordPress and Woocommerce) when I create products the colomns (in Dutch) Categoriën and Tags remain empty on the products page. When editing a product I can activate the categories because they are listed, but unchecked. I really want them checked and the tags field populated.

    Any idea?

I have some screenshots available but I don’t see a button to add them. I can supply them by mail or so.

Second I have an idea to extend the features of Woocommerce in conjunction with MLA. It will be great for photographers. I kindly ask you if you are willing to communicate with me about this? I can throw you a line using your fair trade site.

    HTH and best regards,

    Adri

Thanks for your good words about MLA’s mapping features and for your ideas regarding MLA and Woocommerce, which is a great e-commerce platform. I would be happy to consider your ideas about extensions to make this combination more useful.

I haven’t done much work with non-English versions of WordPress (although I’ve enhanced MLA to work with WPML) and I’d love to see screenshots or any additional details you can supply on the taxonomy issues you have encountered.
