    Just finished the latest update for Woocommerce and all of my product categories have disappeared from my home page. The Woocommerce product categories widget now says that no product categories exist. However, all of the categories are still present in the dashboard settings. Please help!

    I’m having the same problem at When I view each product on the back-end the product variations and categories are still defined, just not showing up on the site when you view the product. Someone please advise how to fix this (or maybe they can make a quick fix & update!)

    Yup! Same here – I’m also using the Product categories in a widget and I’m simply told there are no categories. They really are all still there but they just don’t show.

    Their last two updates have caused major problems with my website. It seems they should test their updates more thoroughly before releasing them to the public.

    Yup same damn thing for me… And the worst part is i just switched from os commerce to this and im trying to convert everything over (200+ products) and this has to be stopping me from finishing up to launch the new store…. Ridiculous…



    Just upgraded and same problem. Widgets are not working and show no product categories exist. Would have expected these bundled widgets to have been tested?



    My main complaint was the variations plugin (which I had been working on since this morning).

    My shop page ended up showing some products that were private, so I had to set them to hidden. I had one category page set up with only a few categories and it’s now blank.

    What a waste of a day for me!

    I’ve got the same problem! I tried deleting and reinstalling the widget and tried adding a new category and neither of those helped.

    I can also confirm that this is happening. I tried deleting the widget + making new categories and no luck.




    I can confirm that categories have disappeared following latest update of WooCommerce (in testing site using WP built-in theme). The following shortcode returns empty:

    [product_categories number=”12″ parent=”0″]
