Support » Plugin: Yoast SEO » Product brand pages

  • WordPress version:
    WordPress 3.5.1.
    WordPress SEO version:
    Version 1.4.7

    I did this:
Using Compare theme By AWESEM Version 1.3.
That theme creates Product brand pages.

I expected the plugin to do this:
In specific product brand page I changed the seo title and description in yoast wordpress seo (settings are on the brand page).
I expected that it changed the title and description @ the frontend.

    Instead it did this:
@ the frontend the title and description didn’t change.
    It’s no caching problem.

  • Just guessing but it could be that the theme writes the title and description after the SEO plugin does.

Can change the order of hook priority to fix that in some cases.

I’ve checked hooks but that’s not issue.
If hooks are invalid it wouldn’t work at all.

One hook could do something that reverses or writes over what another hook as gone prior to output.

    I’ll ask my developer.

Is there a way to fix this in the plugin?

A priority can be assigned to the hooks I mentioned, I think. Never had to use priority in WP functions. Remember it was just a guess. I’ve never spent a lot of time on WP SEO by Yoast code. It’s also not a bug/fault if I’m right, just making that clear should you be tempted to rate a plugin 1 star lol

Consider many plugins installed in a blog that is meant to re-write a post title. The last re-write wins but the others may be doing their job.

Have you not got any attention from the plugin authors?
