• I don’t have anything dev-related setup yet but I am trying to solve a problem I am foreseeing.

I am selling 1 product, a bag. This bag has 3 types, all 3 types come in 5 colors. Anyone of those combinations can have 1 of 50 different images printed on the bag. I want the user to be able to select their bad type, then select their color and then select which image gets printed on the bad.

I don’t want to have to create 750 variations or product images. I was hoping to be able to create variations for the 3 types and 5 colors. Then have the user select the image to be printed on the bag by selecting from a list of 50 thumbnails. Via JS, I could overlay the selected image over the product image.

The Product Add-ons extension seemed like it might work but it doesn’t have a thumbnail option.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • I’m not familiar with the Product Add-ons extension but I’m sure Woo will take a pre-sales question.

The “Extra Product Options” plugin does have a “radio buttons with images” facility. Click the “Screenshots” button and see the 8th screenshot.

I don’t warrant that its fit for your purpose, so you will need to decide for yourself before purchase.
